SANE Appreciation
February 1st, 2026
It's time to shine the spotlight on one of our amazing Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE), Stacy Elliott!
With over 15 years of nursing experience rooted in emergency care, along with roles in education and clinical practice supporting nursing students at NSCC, Stacy brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to everything she does.

She is currently working as a Clinical Nurse Educator, supporting both academic and community partnerships and joined the SANE program in 2023.

Becoming a SANE has been especially meaningful to her. Drawing on both professional expertise and lived experience, she approaches this work with deep empathy, ensuring survivors feel believed, respected and supported through compassionate, trauma-informed care during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.

Her guiding belief is simple but powerful: “My goal is to ensure that no one leaves feeling alone in their trauma. Being believed is often the first step in healing.”

We are incredibly grateful for the care, advocacy and dedication Stacy brings to the EWC SANE program and to survivors in our community!
