A big thank you to Mike Kelloway for stopping by Every Woman's Centre to join our seniors for an afternoon of chair yoga!
It was wonderful to have you spend time with our participants, share a few laughs, and experience one of the many programs that help keep our community active, connected, and engaged. Seeing members of our community come together to support one another is what Every Woman's Centre is all about.

SANE Nurse
Apprecaition
July 1st, 2026
It's time to shine the spotlight on one of our amazing Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE), Jessica Sjoblom!
Originally from Ontario, Jessica moved to Neil’s Harbour after graduating from nursing school and eventually made her way to Sydney. With 11 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, her nursing background includes both medical/surgical and emergency department care. She currently works in Continuing Care, continuing to support individuals and families across our community.
Jessica first joined the SANE program in 2018 and after taking a couple of years away to focus on her growing family, she returned to continue this important work. She is grateful that our community has access to SANE services and is proud to be able to give back by supporting those who need care during some of life’s most difficult moments.
When she’s not caring for others, Jessica stays busy with her children and her two dogs. We are thankful that Jessica found her way back to the team and for the knowledge, compassion and dedication she brings to the SANE program and the community we serve every day
